Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
